theshortageisduetoevaporationduringtransitthroughhotclimates.
Suchlossinweightisnotunusual.Furthermore,theshortagereportedby
youisonly200lbs,whichwethinkisrathernegligible,inasmuchasit
representslessthan1%ofthewholeshipment.Whiteweregrettohavecaused
yousomeinconveniencewiththisshipment;wearenotinapositiontoentertain

局的重证明书证实我们的装船重量不短。你提的短重，原因一定在其它方面。很
可能是由于运输途中气候炎热水份蒸发所致。由于这种原因而产生的短重是经常
有的。况且，你提出的短重只有200磅，我们认为是微不足道的，在整批发中还占
不到百分之一。这批发给你们添了麻烦；我们表示歉意，但是根据上述原因，我
们不能接受你们的索赔要求。
